Our restaurant is built upon a connection to the community. In the most visible way, we see that each day in our restaurant and throughout the Calgary community. Alongside founder Karla & Antonio and the wonderful Salsa staff, our beloved members of the broader Salsa community all form a foundational connection that make up who we are, and what we do.
The same applies to our connection to El Salvador. Just as we each day seek to celebrate and showcase all the food and culture that makes El Salvador, so too are we always proud to contribute to worthwhile initiatives and charitable causes in the beautiful Central American nation.
In 2014 we were able to build a small bakery that provides a way to earn a living for 3 families. In 2015 we held a Salsa event to raise money for a children's soccer team in Barra de Santiago. In 2017 we are proud to report we’re working on our biggest project yet. While there is news of this to come, meanwhile its high time we thanked all our team and the Calgary community who have made such achievements possible.
It its because of your friendship and warmth that we not only celebrate all that's wonderful about El Salvador, but so too play a meaningful role in constructive lives and communities; and addresses so many challenges along the way.

PS Alongside our substantial projects in El Salvador, we also have an ongoing donation drive. So many El Salvadorian children adore playing futbol (soccer), and any new or used football uniforms, cleats, pads and balls shall be gratefully received if you have some spare and wish to donate. Any questions or queries please contact Karla directly by email or calling our restaurant
